I liked these, although I still need more dramatic lighting. Whee.

I've been on holidays for a week now, and it's really odd - I feel all over inertia. I mean, I've been doing a reasonable amount of drawing, and trying to catch up on seeing people and that kind of thing, but I just feel weird when I don't have anything useful to do for most of the day. But I think the break is really good for me; I was so angry and burnt out thanks to my old editor. I needed the time off to recover, and to begin to look forwrd to designing again. Last week I couldn't have cared less - this week, I'm tentatively starting to look forward again to making a fun mag with the new ed (well, the guy who I hope will be my new ed - our work's so slow sorting out HR sometimes), who's someone who's creative, good to work with, and cares about their job. Here's hoping it works out okay.

I sat myself down today and came up with a story idea and quick outline for my little comic, too, which is good. Now I have something concrete to work on, and more reason to kick my own ass if I don't get on with it.

This is a doll-centric entry, for anyone who's interested. For a while I kept a doll journal so that I didn't spam all of you on this list, but I've hardly ended up using it, so I figured I may as well just post them here. If it all starts up again and over-posting ensues, I'll take it back to where it's less likely to annoy you all. :3

Anyway! The other week a group of us all got together to hang out in Hyde Park and take a few pics...these are the results.
