House of Wolves
Okay, so I finally got off my arse and did another drawing, yay! This one is of a slightly higher quality than the last, because it's not an oekaki for once (*gasp*), it's done in photoshop and painter.

I'm quite happy with it, althought it could use some more development in the face, and maybe, gee I don't know, some actual detail in his clothes?

But um, anyway, this was for the lovely [info]saint_sorrows and was inspired by her lovely story Where the Animals Go. <3





Why is he lit from below in a forest? WHO KNOWS? My current theory is there is a hench-person of some description beneath him with a flashlight. Shut up.

Also I took screenshots as I went, so if people are interested, I can put up a WIP to show how it evolved. It's pretty funny. Y/N? edit: here is a WIP.


Also also, [info]dragonwhishes, you're up next - I'm so sorry, I have been the hugest slacker on the face of the earth drawing for you - I've been so ridiculously exhausted. Would you still like the drawing of your girl reading, or would you like to change ideas?

Eeeee, thank-you so so much! :D I think I've probably improved a bit since I did that last illo for you, though (he helped me improve a lot too, haha - you're right, I'm sure more would have helped even more. :D). I didn't know how to draw a crown properly back then, for starters...

Hey, it's okay. I'm pretty patient, and I know that you exist in Busy World.

I'm pretty sure the same idea is good. I have a couple of people that I can kind of see as her, so you can have an idea, or if you just want to draw her how you see her, that's good too.

I found three girls that sort of fit the image of her in my head -

She usually doesn't look so chipper, though, but that should give you an idea...

Also, when I was first trying to get her icons, I could NOT find this many chicks with white hair. >:\

Favourite clothes... Hrm. I'm not sure - she generally wears normal clothes that are comfortable.

OKAY.

So, the pic is half-done (or maybe more than half-done!), and I just had a question or two...

Does she have favourite colours? I have her in jeans and a t-shirt with converse (i.e. suspiciously similar to one of my favourite weekend outfits, haha) - would she wear blue or black jeans? Maybe a lemon-yellow top with dark blue jeans or something? Or stripes? Lemon yellow stripes would be fun... but let me know if you have strong opinions on it!

And would she look happy, contemplative, or sad? I have her looking kind of calm, contemplative and involved in her book right now.

Um, yay!

Ooh I really like this! The slight upshot and the lighting around her cheeks brings out that gaze nicely. greatstuff dude :D

I haven't read the story but I really like this drawing. The lighting makes him look very spooky.

Many thanks! I tried really hard to do some different lighting for this - it's more fun that way. I still don't know where the light's technically coming from, shhhh...
